Your pet’s safety is our first priority! We have put careful thought into every aspect of our service to ensure their stay with us is relaxed and comfortable. Our facility is designed to maximize fun in a secure place and we only allow vaccinated and socialized pets into the resort for everyone’s well being.

Safety FAQs

What is the level of training your staff have?

Each and every one of our Pet Specialists have Walks ‘N’ Wags Pet First Aid training, multiple training shifts prior to starting, and receive ongoing training on the job. Our manager Fay Egan is a qualified Veterinary Technician with 10+ years of experience working with animals and the majority of our full time staff are also qualified Veterinary Assistants.

We also provide further training on-site:

  • Ongoing on-the-job training with senior staff
  • Walks ‘N’ Wags Pet First Aid certification

Why do you Require Vaccinations?

We want to provide a safe and healthy environment for all of our pet guests. Up-to-date vaccinations help prevent the spread of diseases, thereby ensuring a quality visit/stay for all guests.

Do you have a vet that you use in case Medical Treatment is required?

Yes, we are proud to say that Dr. Uri Burstyn is on call for any treatment needed while your pet is under our care. If such an emergency were to arise, you will be contacted immediately. Visit Arbutus West Animal Clinic on the web.

Are you prepared in the case of an emergency evacuation?

Jet Pet Resort has a full evacuation plan in place and is registered with the local fire department in case of emergency. We also provide team training on evacuation procedures annually.

How do you ensure the dogs play safely?

We meet every pet prior to admittance to Jet Pet Resort. Within our facility we offer several play zones, including ones that are designated for more active play and those that are more docile. Each area is carefully monitored by Pet Specialists as well as cameras at all times.
Sometimes, we have dog guests that aren’t neutered, in which case they will not be included in group play.

How do you ensure a routine feeding schedule and medications are properly administered?

Our Resort runs on an online service platform called SalesForce which allows us to track and schedule all special services like mealtimes and medication requirements. This digital platform ensures we can cater to individual needs by displaying all of the daily services for every guest on a large flatscreen TV accessible to our entire team, reducing the possibility for human error and creating an unparalleled experience for our clients.

Why do you have an online application?

We want to provide your pet with the same level of care they would receive from you. By having pet parents fill out our application, it allows us to view care for your pets from your perspective, in your words. We use the online system DocuSign which integrates with our client platform to minimize the transfer of incorrect information and helps us to create an easily accessible personalized profile for each pet guest to ensure the best stay possible.

How do you ensure that pets don’t get out of the facility?

Our facility is designed with emphasis on the safety of our entry and exits. All access points have a double door system and each suite features a round knob that can only be locked from the outside to prevent clever paws from opening latches.

Jet Pet Resort works towards operating a sustainable business by using eco-friendly cleaning and sanitizing products, bio-degradable waste bags, energy saving appliances and equipment, as well as water saving measures. All of our actions are to ensure the safety of all of our pet guests, and support our environment and community.
