Thanks to an innate love of animals passed down from her father who was fond of all animals from dogs to lizards, Riya’s been surrounded by family of the four-legged variety all her life. Her 5th birthday gift was a miniature pinscher named Daisy, followed by a chihuahua named Minnie and a golden retriever named Zoe. Since the age of 8, Riya has volunteered in various animal welfare organizations and is happiest when around pets requiring TLC.
